The costume linked with the Makedonomachoi, the Greek fighters in Macedonia in the early 20th century, and with the name of Pavlos Melas. It is all black, with a foustanella, an overcoat, high stockings and tsarouchia. The winter uniform of the Presidential Guard was also inspired by the fighters' clothes.
