Costume Men’s
Occasion Festive Palatia lies in the north of Marmara island, also called Prokonnisos. The men’s festive costume was called “palatiani” or “salivaria”, after its black vraka with a long seat. A velvet double-breasted waistcoat, a silk sash and a fez completed it. On feast days young men added a printed scarf, such as the “markobotsaris”.
