Character
Who dances it: Everyone
Under the name 'Lefkaditikos', the literature (Metallinos & Schumacker 1975, Holden & Vouras 1976) and a Dora Stratou record describe a two-part dance from Lefkada: a first part in 2/4 that resembles the hasapiko and a second in 7/8 that resembles the hasaposerviko, with a shoulder hold. On the island itself, dance groups usually present Milia, Thiakos, Karavakia and Ballos; the name 'Lefkaditikos' is better known among folk dance clubs abroad.
