An old festive costume of Lemnos from the 18th century, one of the rare island costumes in the National Historical Museum. Over vraka and a white cotton-silk chemise goes a loose sleeveless silk dress with a deep opening at the chest, gold braid, and black wool fringe at the hem. On the head a red cap, a printed kerchief and a fine head cloth, the machramas.
